Captain Larry and mate Matt put on a seminar at Boater's World on 7/25/06
on bottom fishing that was just great. They gave us all sorts of good useful
information. In particular a demonstration on how to make a soda straw
bottom rig for Spanish mackerel. I made one and used it at the Little River
Inshore (Jim Caudel) Reef and within 10 seconds of hitting the bottom, I
caught an 18" Spanish mackerel. The following day the rig caught a keeper
speckled trout. I don't know what to expect the next time I use it but will
be prepared for just about anything.
